Irrfan Khan: Hollywood Has Dominated Our Cinema

Irrfan Khan, who is acclaimed for his skills in Bollywood as well Hollywood, recently told IANS that Hindi entertainment industry is dominated by Hollywood. The Piku actor has worked in Hollywood projects that include Furious 7, Avengers: Age of Ultron, Slumdog Millionaire, The Amazing Spider-Man, and Jurassic World. The actor further said that he enjoys doing films in both industries as they are quite different from each other.

The Life of Pi actor said, “I'm working in both the industries as I'm enjoying my work on both sides. Hollywood demand different kind of skills. They have a different set of audience. So, as an actor it's fortunate that I get chance to do different kind of work”.

The Paan Singh Tomar star added, “Both the industries have their own uniqueness. But Hollywood has a bigger reach and has its own universal language. It is more powerful. It has dominated our cinema. It can affect the business of Bollywood. But, our films are not affecting their business. Its Hollywood, which is affecting Indian cinema”.
