Irrfan Khan, Randeep Hooda under consideration for Sarabjit Singh’s biopic

Sarabjit Singh’s biopic is one of the most anticipated biographical films lined up ahead. First the makers were cautious about the story of the film and didn’t want it to be fictionalized even a bit and then the cast of the film became a tough decision. While Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has been finalized to play Sarabjit’s sister Dalbir Kaur, who fought his case for 20 years; now the makers are hunting for the lead. As per the new reports, Jurassic World fame Irrfan Khan and Highway star Randeep Hooda are under consideration to play Sarabjit Singh.

Omung Kumar is in talks with both the actors.  A source close to the film revealed, “The makers are considering Khan because he has earlier done a role like Paan Singh Tomar so he can easily pull of Singh’s character and Randeep is also on their mind because his physique is similar to him. So we have to wait and watch who the director finalises”.

The film has gone through tough phases that include, a Bajlinder Kaur’s legal notice to the makers claiming that the makers have misinterpreted the facts. She further claimed that she is the real sister of Sarabjit and not Dalbir Kaur. Also, the film was to be directed by Hansal Mehta but he was replaced by Omung Kumar later.
