Is Rajkumar Hirani Playing Subhash Ghai In Dutt Biopic?

Ever since Rajkumar Hirani announced he is to make a film on Sanjay Dutt’s life, fans have been eagerly waiting for its release. Their excitement to watch the film increased more when Ranbir Kapoor’s, who is playing Sanjay Dutt, look was revealed. His look bore an uncanny resemblance to the Munna Bhai actor.

When the film was announced, it took a lot of people by surprise as they believed that portraying his life on screen would be very difficult considering the fact that he is still alive. The movie is often grabbing headlines due to some or the other reason. Recently, it was reported that the team has head to New York for the shoot.

And now we have heard that apart from directing, Hirani will also be acting in the movie. Now easing your curiosity to know what role the filmmaker would be playing, he will portray filmmaker Subhash Ghai’s role, with whom Sanjay has done most number of films. A source said, “Hirani will play the role of director Subhash Ghai, whose films Dutt has been a part of, most notably among them being Khalnayak. Hirani’s character will approach Ranbir (Dutt) to make a biopic on him and joke about it in the film though it later turned out to be a reality!"

Sanjay Dutt biopic stars Manisha Koirala, Sonam Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Paresh Rawal and is slated to hit the theatres next year in March.
