It Was Refreshing Playing Gayatri: Diana Penty

After the trailer launch of ‘Lucknow Central’, actress Diana Penty expressed her contentment being a part of the flick, which is based on real life events. The film also features Farhan Akhtar who plays the role of a prisoner along with Deepak Dobriyal, Rajesh Sharma, Inaam Ul Haq and Rajesh Sharma as other jail inmates. The actress will be seen in a non-glamorous role of an NGO activist, lending a helping hand to Farhan and his team.

 “I have always wanted to be a part of stories that I have felt strongly about and 'Lucknow Central' is one such story. I instantly took to it when Nikkhil Advani (producer) told me about it,” said the 31-year-old diva. This is the first time that the actress has teamed up with Farhan for a film. Praising the Rock On star, Diana said that she has immense respect for him as he is a multi-talented person and it was a great learning experience working with him.

Further, the Cocktail actress told PTI that playing the character Gayatri, was refreshing after her last release 'Happy Bhag Jayegi'. This film will also mark the directorial debut of Ranjit Tiwari. It is yet to be seen if the movie, which is set to release on September 15, can cross the Rs. 100 crore mark at the box office.
