Jackie Shroff To Feature In Priyanka Chopra’s Ventilator Remake?

Priyanka Chopra's first Marathi production Ventilator, which won three honours at the 64th National Film Awards, is all set to be remade in Gujarati. And latest has been heard that actor Jackie Shroff also popular as Jaggu, might be starring in the remake. Directed by Rajesh Mapuskar, the flick starred Ashutosh Gowariker, Jitendra Joshi, Sulabha Arya and Sukanya Kulkarni Mone.

Moreover, as per reports in Zee News, Jackie Shroff said, “Finally, I have been cast in a film in my mother tongue Gujarati. I hope I will live up to it.” The remake is set to be jointly produced by Falguni Patel, Lawrence D’Souza and Irada Entertainment . Further, the story of the film revolves around the eldest and the most respected person of a joint family, who goes into a coma few days before the Ganesh Chaturthi festival.

Rajesh Mapuskar revealed that he is excited that Jackie Shroff will play Ashutosh Gowariker’s character. Meanwhile, Priyanka Chopra was very optimistic that the film will make it to the Oscars, however, Amit Masurkar’s, Newton seemed more competitive to the board and it was sent as India’s official Oscar entry.
