Ranbir Kapoor To Play A Superhero In Karan Johar's Next

It seems that auteur Karan Johar has long forgotten his bad ventures such as Bombay Velvet and wants to venture in new genre. Every now and then there are directors and actors who decide to venture in a Superhero genre movie. There have been several attempts since ages, some have been successful such as Krrish, A Flying Jatt and some have not such as Ajooba, Drona.

Recently, Karan revealed his production house’s upcoming superhero venture, tentatively titled as 'Dragon'. Moreover, Johar stated that the venture will not consist of only one movie, but will be a trilogy. He further revealed that Ranbir Kapoor will be portraying the superhero character.

Johar was quoted as saying, “Ranbir is a big part of Dharma. We have had a great innings with him so far and are looking forward to the next one”. He further added, “The title will be decided within a month. We have spent a lot of time on the script”. The Kal Ho Na Ho director closed his statement divulging that the unit will commence shooting on the currently-untitled film in October or November.
