Kareena Kapoor opted out of Shuddhi because of Hrithik Roshan

Karan Johar’s dream project Shudhhi has been constantly making news because of its constant change in the star. A lot of stars were considered for the lead roles but finally the student of the year Jodi, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt has been finalized. Earlier, it was announced that Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor were roped in to play the lead but certainly, things didn’t work.

Recently, Bebo revealed in an interview, that she opted out of the film because of Hrithik Roshan. She said, “When Hrithik didn’t do the film, I don’t think it just made sense. Because that film I think was all about Hrithik and Kareena coming back”.

After Hrithik opted out of the project, Salman Khan was also considered to play the lead. But at last, Varun Dhawan was finalized. Salman was happy that he was replaced by the Student of the Year star. He wrote in a tweet, “Kamaal karte ho Varun Dhawan... Made your dad and me so proud of you... Happy Shuddhi”. This Karan Johar film will be directed by Karan Malhotra.
