Kolkata Metro asks Kahaani director to delete suicide scene

Kolkata, March 5 -- Vidya Balans upcoming film Kahaani is facing trouble with the Kolkata Metro over a dream sequence in which the leading lady is shown being pushed perilously close to a speeding train by a man.According to an IANS report, director Sujoy Ghosh has no objections in submitting a video of the entire scene to the Kolkata Metro."After watching the promos, we found the scene very objectionable. The Metro has been plagued by suicides. Till date we have registered 224 cases of suicides of which 124 have resulted in death. Following our objection, the said scene has been removed from the promos," said Kolkata Metro spokesperson Pratyush Ghosh.He said, We will decide whether the scene should be retained in the movie or not after watching the clip and discussing with the filmmaker. It is a dream sequence and Sujoy says is integral to the movie".Kahaani, which is releasing on March 9, is the story of a seven months pregnant NRI woman who comes to Kolkata in search of her missing husband.Vidya, who is busy in promoting the movie donning heavily pregnant look, has expressed her desire to be the face of the city Metro rail.
