Kunal Kapoor Talks About 'Raagdesh'

Bollywood star Kunal Kapoor is known to have worked in popular off-beat movies helmed by directors such as Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra, Rahul Dholakia, Pradeep Sarkar and Gauri Shinde. Recently, the actor said that nowadays many off-beat movies are hitting the silver screens. The actor stated that he has signed up many such movies in the recent past such as Veeram, Dear Zindagi, The Noblemen.

Kunal also revealed about his upcoming movie titled as ‘Raagdesh’. The Rang De Basanti star will be portraying the role of Major General Shah Nawaz Khan of Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose's Indian National Army. Regarding his character in the movie, the actor read books on the Major General Khan. In order to portray the role better, the actor spent time with the late Major General Shah Nawaz’s Grandson and his family to get a better insight into his personality and worked on an Urdu-Punjabi accent to capture a certain speaking style of the 1940s' era.

‘Raagdesh’ circles around soldiers Shah Nawaz, Gurbaksh Singh Dhillon or Prem Sahgal. The movie is helmed by Tigmanshu Dhulia. ‘Raagdesh’ will hit the silver screens on July 28.
