Madhur Bhandarkar opens up on his emotional attachment with Tabu and keenness to make a simple love story

Madhur Bhandarkar is such a critically acclaimed individual in the entire B-town who mainly creates women-centric films and brings out some powerful women characters through his films. Madhur has revealed that he shares a special emotional bond with his Chandni Bar’s leading heroine Tabu.

Madhur has always focused on serious films but now he is keen to enter the soft romantic genre. He also revealed his plans of making a "realistic and romantic" musical. He said, "Definitely there is a musical, which is under consideration... it will be romantic and realistic. There is no confirmation yet... it is in the pipeline.” To the filmmaker, making a love story on a simple plot would mean a real challenge. He said, "I want to make a simple love story with music. It is a genre I haven't ventured into. I thought it would be challenging for me to make a romantic movie. In fact, I am also a romantic person.” After making Heroin - Zindagi Ke Panno Se for the TV series Specials@10, he has also disclosed his plans to make it to television sometime and said, "If I have a good subject with a concept, then definitely I would love to be a creative director on TV. Now, I will start two movies, so I will be busy with my script. But if something excites me, then definitely I will make it.”
