Mahesh Bhatt acknowledges Hansal Mehta

On the screening of greatly anticipated Rajkummar Rao and Patralekha starrer CityLights, Mahesh Bhatt acknowledged that Hansal Mehta is a contemporary filmmaker who can bear the truncheon of sovereign cinema. Mehta was greatly moved by Mahesh Bhatt’s remarks as the director himself has made offbeat films like Arth, Saaransh, Zakhm.

The filmmaker also branched with his Saaransh award, an emblematic sign to Hansal telling him to take ahead the labours of getaway cinema. Among the celebrities present were Vishesh Bhatt, Sakshi Bhatt, Rajkummar and Patralekha accompanied by Vidya Balan, Siddharth Roy Kapoor, Anubhav Sinha, Amole Gupte and others. CityLights, produced and presented by Vishesh Films and Fox Star Studios, respectively. The movie is scheduled to hit screens on May 30.
