This Popular TV Couple Is Keen On Starting A Family

Actor Mahhi Vij is making the most of her married life. Unlike popular perception that being married to a person of the same profession can be a bane, the actor believes that it rather makes it easier to understand the person and be more involved in each others’ lives. “It makes it easy for the other person, as they provide you with a helping hand and you can talk to each other without holding back anything,” says Mahhi, who is married to actor Jay Bhanushali.

The two, who silently tied the knot in a courtroom, have been married for six years now. Ask her how being in the same field has worked wonders to her marriage, Mahhi adds, “It actually helps deepen your understanding. Jay and I discuss almost everything . From money to the projects we are working on. We always seek each other’s advice.”

So are there any conflicts or clash of opinions, since both of them are in the same work sphere? “No. It has rather strengthened our relationship. [Also], we are mature enough to not let such things affect us in any way,” says Mahhi who has worked in TV soaps such as Shubh Kadam, Kaisi Lagi Lagan and more, but she’s famously known for her role as Nakusha in TV show Laagi Tujhse Lagan.

It’s never like we [Jay and I] both are busy at the same time. If that happens, we make it a point to somehow find time for each other.

With hectic shooting schedules that most TV actors have, does it become tough to manage time to spend with each other or take a quick vacation? “It mostly happens that when I’m working, he’s free, and on days when he’s shooting, I have no work. So this is something that has been continuing, and it’s seldom that we both are busy at the same time. If that happens, we make it a point to somehow find time for each other,” shares Mahhi.

On quizzed about whether they plan to start a family any time soon, Mahhi quips, “Yeah, that’s on my mind and I’m keen to start a family this year. Right now, I’m working on something, which I can reveal only after a month or so. Once that [project] finishes, we definitely would plan our family.”
