Manjot Singh to Play Navjot Singh Sidhu in Azhar

Fukrey fame Manjot Singh, has reportedly, been signed to play Navjot Singh Sidhu in the biopic Azhar. The news hasn’t been confirmed as of now. Neither the Oye Lucky! Lucky Oye! actor nor Balaji Motion Pictures has commented on the news.

However, an insider revealed, “The makers wanted a Punjabi guy for the role and have brought Manjot on board. Currently, he is undergoing rigorous training to get into Sidhu’s character. He has been asked to watch Sidhu's videos and work on his body language as well as cricketing style accordingly”.

The Tony D'Souza directorial has Emraan Hashmi in the lead, playing the former Indian cricketer Mohammad Azharuddin. The story of the film will feature the controversies in the life of the cricketer and also reveal about his rumoured relation of the cricketer with Sangeeta Bijlani. The story is scheduled to go on the floor next month, in London.
