To put in a lot of efforts and hardwork, Shahid Kapoor deserves all the praise for his performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s magnum opus, Padmaavat. While talking about the risk involved in doing this film, Shahid said, “I remember telling Mira that I have taken a risk but I will take on this challenge. This film has been a one-and-a-half year long journey. In fact, she supported me a lot. I remember after watching the film, Mira hugged me and said, ‘I am proud of you. The character is so understated and underplayed. It was so difficult but I loved what you did in the film and this is your best performance.”

In an exclusive interview with Pinkvilla, the Jab We Met star commended his wife for her unflinching support. Feeling elated with the response to his latest film, Shahid shared that Mira has been a constant support system for him and he could not have done it without her. Moroever, he mentioned that Mira hugged him and felt proud of him after watching Padmaavat.
