Mohanjo-Daro’s cast to have an internationally acknowledged costume designer

With a record of putting iconic scripts on celluloid, filmmaker Ashutosh Gowariker is also known for making the best of what he can. The director has apparently roped in the Emmy award winner and Oscar nominated costume designer April Ferry to design clothes for the cast of the film that includes the lead pair of Hrithik Roshan and Pooja Hegde.

Ferry who traces her record with movies like Terminator 3: Rise of Machines, Elysium, Surrogates will be working on an Indian film for the first time which she is very excited about. "I am really thrilled to be working with Ashutosh Gowariker. When I first heard about this film, I really hoped that it wouldn't clash with my work back there and I am glad it didn't. This film excites me because there is very little known about that period and so it gives me a lot of creative space to create costumes for an era which is so ancient," she said in a statement. April has earned an academy nomination for Maverick and also won an Emmy for her costumes in the TV series Rome.

Talking about this gracious collaboration, director Ashutosh Gowariker said, "I feel extremely proud to be working with Ms April Ferry. I have been a great admirer of her work, especially with regards to her keen eye for detail, and I'm now delighted that she will design the costumes for Mohenjo Daro." The film which is a love story based during the Indus Valley Civilization will hit the floors in October in South Africa.
