Mohit Suri Praises Shraddha Kapoor For Her Hard Work In Half Girlfriend

Arjun Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor will be sharing screen space for the first time in Mohit Suri’s ‘Half Girlfriend’. The movie requires both the actors to be proficient in the sport of basketball. While Arjun “is a basketball pro”, Shraddha had to work hard to get into the shoes of a basketball player. According to the director, the actress trained for hours on end to learn the sport well.

“Shraddha would train for hours on end every day for over a month. While Arjun is a basketball pro, Shraddha was supposed to play a university girl, who is damn good at it”, shared the director. Mohit also revealed that International coach Natalia Andre and her team were always present on the set to help the actress.

The director further added, “It was important for her to get the basics right. She is a quick learner and also receptive to feedback. The DU girls, who play basketball, would play a game or two while we weren't shooting”. ‘Half Girlfriend’ has been adapted from Chetan Bhagat's bestselling novel by the same name. The movie will be released on May 19.

Regardless of their basketball skills, it would be quite interesting to see Arjun and Shraddha’s on screen chemistry.
