Naseeruddin Shah’s Comments On Rajesh Khanna Hasn’t Gone Down Well

Dimple Kapadia has finally broken her silence over Naseeruddin Shah’s remark about her late husband Rajesh Khanna’s acting skills. In an interview with Hindustan Times, Shah had said, “It was the 70s when mediocrity came in Hindi films. That’s when the actor called Rajesh Khanna joined the industry. For all his success, I think Mr Khanna was a very limited actor. In fact, he was a poor actor. Intellectually, he wasn’t the most alert person I have ever met. His taste ruled the industry”

Rajesh Khanna’s daughter Twinkle Khanna was clearly annoyed with Naseeruddin Shah's rude remarks and she blasted him on twitter. And now, the Barsaat actress’ mother, Dimple Kapadia chose to bear upon the matter by saying, “I just want to say that while I understand that everyone has the right to their own opinion, the man’s career and legacy speak for him. I don’t need to over-emphasise his accomplishments or what he has done for Hindi cinema. You know them, I know them, and millions of his fans know them as well.”

Even though Dimple's statement is a simple one, it definitely sends out a strong message for Naseeruddin Shah. It seems like the Ishqia actor is finding himself in the middle of controversies after he made his ‘distasteful’ remarks.  Well, now Mr Shah has apologized for his remarks saying, "I apologise to those who were personally offended, my intention was not to attack him (Rajesh Khanna)."
