Neerja Made Me Stronger: Sonam Kapoor

The trailer of Sonam Kapoor starrer Neerja is out creating a buzz amongst the audiences. The trailer of the film that narrates the true story of hijacked plane Pan Am Flight has left the audiences stunned. Sonam Kapoor at the trailer launch got emotional and stated that the flick has made her emotionally stronger.

“Anything that is emotionally challenging kind of makes you grow as a human being. You learn how to be better through everything especially if something pushes you beyond a certain limit. Anything that Neerja Bhanot has brought into my life is being positive, it’s not strained me, it’s made me stronger”, she said.

The story of the flick revolves around flight attendant Neerja Bhanot, who saved 359 lives from the hijacked plane in Karachi and died during the mission. Recognised as ‘the heroine of the hijack’, Neerja was awarded Ashok Chakra and hence she became the youngest recipient of India's most prestigious gallantry award for bravery. The movie based on her life, starring Sonam and Shabana Azmi, is slated to release on February 19, 2016.
