The Never-Ending wait gets over as Ungli finally gets a release date

From twice being shuffled in 2013 to still searching a slot getting in, producer Karan Johar’s much awaited venture Ungli now has a confirmed release date, i.e. November 21 this year despite all controversies.

It has been extremely interesting to study the reasons following the film’s delay. Sanjay Dutt who plays a prominent character in the movie being sentenced to imprisonment, unhappy with editor Shirish Kunder’s work, Karan brought Deepa Bhatia to replace him, makers apparent debate on the addition of two songs and so on. The film had a number of reasons attached to its delay. But all well and good now, the Rensil D’silva directed flick is all ready to release. There is still a song left which is to filmed, “The song requires all the actors of the film and we have scheduled the shoot in the next month,” says the director.

The cast of Ungli includes Emraan Hashmi, Kangana Ranaut, Sanjay Dutt, Randeep Hooda, Neha Dhupia and Neil Bhoopalam. It’s now going to be interesting to see if the film hasn’t lost out on its appeal attributed to the long delay it has faced. However the cast and the banner only tell a promising premise for the movie. Let’s now wait for November 21.
