Nirbhaya Case: Bollywood Applauds SC’s Verdict To Hang The Rapists
Updated : May 06, 2017 10:47 AM ISTAfter five long years, the Supreme Court finally upheld High Court and trial court’s decision to give death to all four convicts in the 2012 Nirbhaya gang rape case, social media sites have been abuzz with reactions flowing in from all corners. The four convicts in the December 16, 2012 Delhi gang rape and murder case had moves Supreme Court against the Delhi High Court order. A 23-year-old student, Jyoti, was gang-raped and tortured in a moving bus on her way back home in the capital in December 2012.
Showing solidarity to the Court’s judgement, several Bollywood celebrities have also taken to twitter to share their reactions on the Nirbhaya verdict. From Rishi Kapoor, Raveena Tandon to Varun Dhawan and Taapsee Pannu, check out some of the top names from the film industry who have come forward to laud the verdict that gave justice to the family of the rape victim.
