Padmaavat Will Release One Day Before Padman

Sanjay Leela Bhansali ’s magnum opus Padmavat was supposed to directly clash with Akshay Kumar ’s Padman on January 25, 2018, box-office. However, according to reports, there is a little change in the release date. Now, the controversial film of all time is all set to hit theatres on January 24^th.

Moreover, there seems to be no ending of troubles surrounding the film’s release. The film has been officially banned in four major cities in India like Gujarat, Haryana, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh recently. Despite this chaos, Padmaavat team are leaving no stone unturned to make a big release. It will be a global IMAX 3D release.

Talking about the development, Manoj Desai, owner of a multiplex in Mumbai revealed, “While PadMan releases on 25th January, Padmaavat will release the night before. The distributors of Padmaavat are likely to release reimburse the film that is scheduled for the 9.30 pm show that day and screen the magnum opus instead. There will be only one paid preview. This will happen not just in my theatres but across India”. Padmavat stars Deepika Padukone , Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor in the lead roles.
