Parineeti Chopra To Play Varun Dhawan’s Love Interest In ‘Judwaa 2’?

It’s no secret that ‘Judwaa 2’, which is the much anticipated sequel of 1997 hit action comedy ‘Judwaa’, will star Varun Dhawan as the male lead. However, the news about which actress will pair up with the Badlapur actor for the two-heroine project has been quite sketchy. If recent reports are to be relied upon, the makers have roped in Parineeti Chopra to play the female lead in the upcoming flick.

A source was quoted as saying, “The makers wanted two top actresses from the young generation to be paired opposite Varun. And they wanted two heroines who he’s never been paired with. One could argue that Jacqueline and Varun worked together in Dishoom, but the fact is they were not paired together. She was John’s romantic interest in the action-adventure saga. As for Parineeti, the duo appeared together in multiple ads and the hot Jaaneman Aah song which set the ball rolling. So both are the best bets”.

“Pari’s date diary is full as she has a lot of films coming up. She has liked the idea, but both the heroines will sit for a complete narration once the script is ready, which will take a few more weeks”, the source added. The movie is unlikely to hit floors before March 2017.

For the uninitiated ones, ‘Judwaa’ starred superstar Salman Khan along with Karisma Kapoor and Rambha. The sequel to movie will mark Varun’s first-ever double role in his career spanning over three years. The film will be produced by Sajid Nadiadwala.
