Parineeti-Priyanka to clash again!! Heats up the Calendar

The remaining year that is flooded with big releases and clashes is to see yet another high profile clash. Last year on 5th September when Priyanka Chopra’s Zanjeer and Parineeti’s Shuddh Desi Romance clashed, Priyanka had to face utter humiliation. One year later, the very same day may see each other battling out again. Parineeti Chopra’s Daawat-e-Ishq and Priyanka Chopra’s Mary Kom have been scheduled to release on the same day.

The big clash has come as a surprise for Yashraj as well. Interestingly, Daawat-e-Ishq that also stars Aditya Roy Kapoor has been long delayed while Mary Kom is being pre-poned. Based on the life of Olympic medallist Mary Kom, the biopic was earlier set for a 2nd October release, but with Haider and Bang Bang already in queue on that slot, Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Viacom 18 have decided to prepone the release. The spokesperson at Yashraj revealed "We have no clue about this. We announced our release many months ago. So whoever chooses to jump in now is doing so out of the queue. Our best wishes to them. Priyanka is the only face of Mary Kom. She is the film's hero. Only she can promote the film. We are counting on the month of August to take us safely into our release on September 5." He said, on Priyanka’s availability to promote the movie. However, the diverse genres of both the films may give options to the audience but a clash would always eat out on each other’s collections. Let’s just patiently wait if one of the productions finds it wise to shift the release date.
