SpotboyE has reported that the actress has been roped in for the role, further diversifying her arsenal of iconic characters. The movie will be a biopic, showcasing the amazing and sad journey of Kalpana.

Everyone is familiar with the epic story of Kalpana who was the first woman of Indian origin to venture into space. Millions of people on the surface mourned her loss as the 2003 space shuttle Columbia disaster claimed her life, as well as the lives of other crew members.
