PK releases in Germany, Austria and Switzerland, overseas tally may rise up

After having set records in the domestic arena with unprecedented figures of over Rs. 300 crore, Aamir Khan’s PK will now see its overseas tally rising up too. The Raju Hirani directorial is set open in three key international markets that include Germay, Austria and Switzerland.

While the film has already been hailed as one of the most prolific prospects coming out of Indian cinema, the international recognition too has been very rich. The film is by far the third highest Indian grosser in international markets with a figures of around 25 million dollars. With PK opening in the mentioned countries, the NRI audience there would get a chance to finally view the film in their nations.

The Aamir-Anushka starrer is yet to open in China, which is now being considered as one of the most lucrative markets in international cinema. Interestingly, the two highest grosser above PK in overseas area are also Aamir Khan starrers. Dhoom 3 being at number 1 while 3 Idiots closely following it as number two. With three of the top overseas earners being all Aamir Khan starrers, looks like the world has found some huge love in Mr. Perfectionist.
