PK storms a massive opening weekend, mints 93 crores in 3 days

The box office collections of PK have been what you might term an example of enormous growth. After having opened to a colossal figure of 26 crores on Friday, the Aamir Khan starrer showed big jump on Saturday and a bigger one on Sunday. The opening weekend collection takes the film up at 93.37 crores.

The film in fact has registered itself in the 100 crore club as we speak. The Raju Hirani directed flick collected 30 crores on its second day while 36 crores on Sunday. Though the collections have been less than what Aamir’s last film Dhoom 3 had opened to, but the buzz around that film was altogether different. However, the biggest opener of the year still remains the SRK starrer Happy New Year which earned 45 crores on day 1.

With the extremely positive word of mouth and vividly applauding reviews, PK is sure to be enjoying a bountiful run at the box office for a long long time. The film is now the second highest non holiday opener of all time after Dhoom 3. Let the record books be prepared as a lot of feats are now up to be broken.
