Prachi Desai Thinks Film Industry Gives More Importance To Looks

Telly star Prachi Desai stepped into Bollywood with Farhan Akhtar’s ‘Rock On!!’ and continued to give stellar performances in movies such as ‘Once Upon a Time in Mumbaai’ (2010), ‘Bol Bachchan’ (2012) and others. The gorgeous actress was last seen in Tony D'Souza’s ‘Azhar’ opposite Emraan Hashmi. Recently, the Life Partner star shared her thoughts on the preferences set by Hindi cinema, stating that the industry favours looks over talent.

"I think there are a lot of brilliant actors who probably don't get the same kind of positioning or they don't get their due because of certain reasons... I think looks is something that this industry gives a lot more importance to”, Prachi told IANS. The Policegiri actress went on to add, "I think more than talent what people get aroused by (is looks). I think that's what the industry cares about”.

Well, Prachi’s views had considerably been people's mindset for ages. However, there is no denying that the cinema is undergoing a marvellous transition today. On a related note, the actress will soon be seen in Farhan’s ‘Rock On!! 2’, which is expected to hit big screens on November 11.
