Pratyusha’s Parents Open Up About Their Daughter’s Relationship

Balika Vadhu actress Pratyusha Banerjee's parents have opened up about the relationship between their daughter and her boyfriend Rahul Raj Singh. Stating that they never approved of their relationship, Shankar Banerjee, Pratyusha’s father, revealed that Rahul used to torture his daughter both mentally and physically. The actress’ father also claimed that her finances were also handled by Rahul and his father.

 Shankar revealed, “Rahul lied to her that he had four flats and cars in Mumbai, 150 acres in his hometown and his mother is an MLA.. He took full control of her life. He wouldn't let her meet her friends or use her phone. He taunted her about her past relationships. He used to beat and abuse her often and neighbours at the Kandivli house where they lived had once heard a loud sound when she got hurt”.

He also stated that Rahul had forced Pratyusha to distance herself from her friends and family. According to a maid, Saloni (Rahul’s ex girlfriend) used to torture Pratyusha and Rahul never took any action. Another shocking fact about Rahul is that he has a 9-year-old child from his previous marriage that the Balika Vadhu actress did not know about, as reported by her friends Kamya Punjabi and Vikas Gupta.

Shankar added, “I've lost my daughter and I have nothing more to lose but I cannot rest if he isn't punished. Rahul should either get a life sentence or capital punishment. No other girl should have to die like my daughter did”. Rahul is currently hospitalized because of chest pain and low blood pressure. He will be arrested after being discharged.
