Priyanka Chopras debut music album is of international standard

Gone are the days of Western pop singers, we have a new rockstar in town and that is also our very own anddesiPriyanka Chopra. The glamorous actress, whose debut international music album,In My City, got released yesterday, is upbeat about her latest achievement as a singer. Talking about the album, Priyanka said, “It’s about being proud of where I come from. It’s inviting the world to my city and my city could be anywhere. I’ve had such a nomadic upbringing”. Responding to the question that her impeccable notes and pitch makes one suspicious if it’s really her voice, the former beauty queen said, “Most people will say that. I know they will. But then they’ve never heard me sing before. It is me, just me.” She also refuted that her voice has been digitally modulated as per the international trend. “No it’s not. I may sound different just because of the pitch. I have a very high range. My talking voice is different from when I sing”, she said, adding about her accent, “Dekho accent tohI always had. Everybody knows that. My accent is natural. Now finally its come to good use”. Her one time archrival,KareenaKapoor, is already impressed with her voice and says, "I am a big fan of Priyanka and her voice. I could relate more to Priyanka because she is adamdaar(power-packed) actress, and I like her work".
