The Mary Kom trailer that released yesterday in some ways guarantees a showdown performance by the actress. The widely anticipated biopic based on the life of Indian boxer Mary Kom is all set to lay an impressive affect, at least that’s what the trailer suggests.

The film directed by Omung Kumar showcases the struggling journey of the boxer to pursue her dreams. The trailer had an overwhelming response over the social media with praises raining over the former Miss World in large numbers. The trailer of the movie had Priyanka turning against all odds and fighting injustice. The film is going to reflect Mary Kom’s journey right from the start, her dream, her love, her family and most importantly ‘Boxing’. One portion of the trailer even had the actress in a bald look which completely left the audiences appalled. Even Priyanka had things to share about that intriguing look in the movie as she said "That is a very authentic scene and I was very excited for it. I never say never, so was all around the set wearing the bald look. As an actor I feel that it is my duty for the role that I portray, that I do it with complete honesty. It is a personal challenge that I set for myself to portray all my characters differently." The actress also admitted of having the same rebellious attitude in real life as well. "I am a rebel without a cause, a rebel all the time. I relate to this story because even I have come from a small place. And then it is all about breaking boundaries. Successful people are those who break it all," she excitedly said.

The initial response of the trailer has made sure that audiences are left wondering about the movie. The transformation of the actress from a glamorous looking avatar to a complete athletic look was commendable. Produced by Viacom 18 and Sanjay Leela Bhansali, the film is scheduled to release on September 5th.
