R. Balki confirms Amitabh Bachchan for his next but no Shah Rukh Khan

Sad news for Shah Rukh Khan fans as well as Amitabh Bachchan followers who were willing to see them together onscreen once again. Earlier reports regarding R. Balki’s next film, which was rumoured to pair up Big B and SRK once again, have been proved utterly false by the latest revelations. And the confirmation has come straight from the mouth of the director himself.

TheCheeni KumandPaadirector Balki laughed off the reports,“I don’t know where that came from. Maybe because I shot a short-film with Shah Rukh last week. The same thing happened with my wife (the ‘English Vinglish’ director Gauri Shinde). Gauri directed a Tamil ad for jewellery with Sridevi, and the news spread that she was working with her again. Well, we both wish we were working with Sridevi and Shah Rukh on feature films. But not right now.”

The director’s next project will definitely feature Amitabh Bachchan but Shah Rukh Khan will not be a part of it anywhere. Earlier he planned to cast Abhishek Bachchan in the film but the script did not materialize properly and it was dropped. And then the filmmaker was struck with some other original idea which has been worked upon exclusively for Big B and the script is almost ready right now.
