Rajkumar Hirani’s Films Have Nothing To Do With Luck: Boman Irani

Sanjay Dutt’s biopic is going on in full swing and will hit the theatres next year. While we know the cast of the flick, there’s and addition in it. Versatile actor Boman Irani is also in the flick and has already shot for his part.

If reports are to be believed, Rajkumar Hirani wanted him in the flick but couldn’t find a suitable role for him. However, later he made Irani to do a cameo in the flick. On this, Boman says, “Raju couldn’t find something for me in the beginning, but he wanted me to do something. He requested me to make a special appearance, and I readily agreed. I have already shot for my role in the film.

When the actor was asked if the 3 Idiots director finds him as his lucky charm, he said, “It was nostalgic, and it felt good to be back on Hirani’s set. I hate to use the word lucky mascot because his films have nothing to do with luck. It’s about the story”. Talking about his character in the film, Boman said, “It’s an unknown character, not a famous person. In a biopic, most of the characters relate to that person’s life, but this person is not known to the public. You might not have read his name in the papers”.

On a related note, the Sanjay Dutt biopic is scheduled to release on March 30 next year.
