Ranbir: ‘I would really look forward to getting Sanjay Dutt alive on screen’

After giving blockbuster films like ‘3 Idiots’,’ PK’ and ‘Munnabhai’ series, Rajkumar Hirani is coming up with a Biopic on Sanjay Dutt. According to reports, Ranbir Kapoor has been finalized for the lead role in the film. Talking about the character, the actor shared with The Times of India, "Biopics are hard because you have to celebrate such a giant man's life on screen... I would really look forward to getting Sanjay Dutt alive on screen”.

The Bombay Velvet star also shared, "It's a very challenging character, very colourful... he's had a very challenging life and I think it will be interesting to portray him on screen". After playing challenging characters in films like ‘Rockstar’ and ‘Barfi’, Ranbir is preferred by all filmmakers for essaying challenging roles. However, Ranbir has stated that nothing has been finalized yet.

The team will start shooting for the biopic early next year. A biopic on Sanjay Dutt will be the most awaited film. Sanjay Dutt has already set a milstone in the industry and to play a character of the Khalnayak of Bollywood will be really a tough task.
