Ranbir Kapoor on Awara remake: I don't think I have enough talent to do such a film
Updated : May 01, 2014 03:10 PM ISTBollywood heartthrob Ranbir Kapoor who is breathlessly awaiting his next week’s release Yeh Jawaani Hain Deewani rejected all the reports which said that he and his father would remake Raj Kapoor's 1951 classic film Awara.
Kapoor told the reporters while on a visit to the city, "I believe that I shouldn't remake such a classic film. Once a film like that is made you can't make it again. I don't think I have enough talent to do such a film.” He said further on Rishi Kapoor’s quotes about the remake, "Even I read in the papers only."
At another event, Ranbir has also denied the reports that Zoya Akhtar has approached him for her next film. Earlier it was reported that Ranbir and Kareena Kapoor would play the siblings in Zoya’s next flick. Ranbir’s hands are quite full now with big projects like Besharam, Anurag Kashyap’s Bombay Velvet and also Imtiaz Ali’s next.
