Remo reveals details of Priyanka-Deepika dance-off in ‘Bajirao Mastani’

Remo D’Souza, who is known for his exquisite dance skills, is really busy choreographing the much awaited dance number featuring Priyanka Chopra and Deepika Padukone in ‘Bajirao Mastani’. So far, everyone was under the delusion that the actresses will be seen doing Lavani. But Remo called it a fusion and revealed the origin of the same.

He said, “It is Sanjay Bhansali’s cook, the lady whom he calls Maausi, whose steps we’ve borrowed. There is a particular hybridized step that she practices. We borrowed her step and then worked on it. It turned into fusion number, with elements that have never been seen before in a dance number”.

Remo is very happy as he attained what he was longing for. “Both Deepika and Priyanka danced their hearts out. But there was no sense of competitiveness between them. That worked to my song’s advantage. They both contributed to making the number very special. Priyanka Has More Energy, While Deepika Is More Graceful”, he added.
