Richa Chadda Finds It Difficult Arranging Tickets for Masaan

After twin-win at Cannes, Masaan has done a great business at the domestic box office. The film is going houseful since it has released. Not only the public, but Rich Chadda herself found it difficult to arrange for the tickets. “I actually had to cancel on a friend for the 8pm show, as I’d managed to get only 10 tickets”, she said.

Rich is quite excited about the success of the film. She said, “Never expected a big opening. The movie has us - non-stars, and we are competing with the Bajrangi Bhaijaans of the world. We always knew that it was going to be a word-of-mouth film. The business on Saturday was double that of Friday’s. The smaller cities are taking some time to warm up to it, but it is doing well in the bigger cities”.

Although, Richa got many compliments but the best in her view was from Rajkumar Hirani. She said, “I’m touched by all the appreciation that is coming my way. Recently, I met Rajkumar Hirani, and he told me that I deserve a hug for this one. Then, he went on to give me one. You can see the tweets and messages on social media, so you can imagine how it has been in person”.
