Richa Chadda to play Charles Sobhraj’s Indian lover

Bad, a biopic on Charles Sobhraj, a serial killer of Indian and Vietnamese origin has roped in Gangs of Wasseypur star Richa Chadda. The bold character actress has been asked to play the role of Sobhraj’s one of the Indian girlfriend’s out of the two reported. Richa will be seen enacting the character of a law student who was mesmerized by Sobhraj’s charm. The actress is paired with Randeep Hooda who has been signed to play Charles in the flick.

Richa has given some mind boggling performances in her recent films like, Fukrey. Her fresh success and the kind of genre she works in might have made it easy for Pooja Bhatt, producer of the flick to cast her for such a role. Actor Adil Hussain has also been roped in to play the role of the Investigating Officer in India who worked on the Charles Sobhraj case. The film will go on the floors from the first week of July under the direction of Prawaal Raman.
