Saif Ali Khan Completes Shooting For Chef

Race actor Saif Ali Khan wrapped up the shoot for his upcoming flick ‘Chef’ last week in New York. The movie is a remake of the Hollywood flick by the same name starring Jon Favreau, who starts a food truck after losing his restaurant job following a showdown with a formidable food critic and a disagreement with the restaurant's owner. Saif will sort of follow the same lines as his character will leave his life in New York to start a food truck in India.

According to a source, the team shot the opening sequences of the flick where Saif was supposed to portray a professional chef. Their schedule lasted for a week and now, the actor has jetted off to London with wife Kareena Kapoor. Apparently, the team shot in sub-zero temperatures in the Big Apple.

“We have portrayed a unique side of New York, shot in places where our films rarely go to. We were hit by a snowstorm and the temperature dipped to below zero. It was really sporting of Saif and my crew to shoot in such extreme conditions so that we could use it to our advantage and create the exact mood I had envisaged for this section of the film”, shared Raja Krishna Menon, who is directing the project.
