Updated : July 30, 2014 02:58 PM ISTWhen Randeep Hooda during a climax scene from Kick says ‘Wo apni Eidi lene zaroor aayega’, it was evident that Salman Khan fans would make a statement out of it and that’s just what they’ve done. The Eid collections of Kick have been an unprecedented 28.89 crores. While it was just a formality for the film to enter the coveted 100 crore club, the film reached the mark yesterday morning itself and brought the total up to 126.89 crores by the end of the day.
The collections have made Kick the highest grosser of the year so far beating Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty. Trade Analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted and reflected the ongoing results of the film, “Salmania grips the nation! #Kick does ENORMOUS biz on Eid. Collects Rs 28.89 cr nett on Tue. AWESOME!, #Kick 5-day total stands at Rs 126.89 cr nett. India biz. FANTASTIC!.” With Kick making into the 100 crore club, Salman has become the first actor to have seven films in a row earning more than 100 crores. Dabbang, Ready, Bodyguard, Ek Tha Tiger, Dabbang 2, Jai Ho and now Kick, Salman has made it a point to keep giving huge money spinners. The biggest credit for this has to be given to the ‘Crazy Salman Fans’ who absolutely love their ‘Bhai’. It is now going to be interesting to see if the film makes it to 200 crores and add another feather to Bhai’s hat. The collections of the movie have so far indicated that the people are going to watch the movie and the figures are only going to grow up. Let’s wait to see if more Salman Bhai fans continue to shower their love over the film and take it to 200 crores.
