Sanjay Dutt to appear in qawwali number after more than 4 decades

Around four decades ago in Reshma aur Shera Sanjay Dutt did a qawwali as a child actor and now in the remake of Zanjeer he will be seen as a qawwali singer once again. He will be reprising the iconic character of Sher Khan of the original Zanjeer in Apoorva Lakhia's remake version.

The 1972 film Reshma aur Shera starred his father Sunil Dutt, Bollywood megastar Amitabh Bachchan and other yesteryear biggies like Vinod Khanna, Waheeda Rehman and Rakhee. The recent qawwali song goes as Khochey Pathan Ki Zubaan. The remake version, to be released this Friday, also stars Ram Charan, Priyanka Chopra, Prakash Raj, Mahie Gill and Atul Kulkarni.
