Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata undergoes surgery for lung infection

Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt’s wife Manyata has undergone a two-hour long operation at Parel Hospital on Wednesday afternoon to cure her for lung infection. The surgery has been done to remove water from her lungs.

The 37-year-old lady was suffering from a liver tumour. Earlier cardiologist Dr. Ajay Chaughule at Global Hospital said, "Manyata Dutt is quite unwell,” though he refused to divulge anything further on Manyata’s health issues. Sources from the hospital said Manyata underwent several medical tests. A senior official stated, "Until all the results are out, we cannot say anything about the final diagnosis.” Sanjay, who is serving a five-year jail term for illegal possession of arms in relation to the 1993 Bombay bomb blast case, was released on parole on December 21 on the ground of his wife’s bad health condition. The actor will be out on parole till January 21. However a lawyer said he can ask for an extension to his parole if his wife doesn’t recover by that time.
