Not long ago, the duo was in the middle of a controversy about their rumoured relationship but later they stopped mingling with each other on protest by Shah Rukh’s friends. However, lately the superstar has been speaking very highly and fondly of PeeCee on camera and sources said that he is flexing all his muscles to ensure that she is paired with him in Farah’s film. A source said, "Deepika, Katrina, Priyanka and Kareena were all in the reckoning. While Bebo is in no hurry to sign a new film, Anushka has no time. Deepika has already baggedChennai Expresswith SRK, making PeeCee the default choice”.

SRK received the BrandLaureate Legendary Award when he was in Malaysia to attend Malaysian Prime Minister Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad's birthday. The award was presented to him by Founder of Lord's Tailor Robert Loh, President of The BrandLaureate KK Johan and Tun Dr Mahathir bin Mohammad. Reacting after getting the honour, he said, "It is an honour to be given the Brandlaureate Legendary Award. It is always a pleasure to be amongst friends and to be given so much love and motivation to do better.”
