Shahid Kapoor Looks Ready For Battle In These Stunning New Posters From Padmavati!

A week after Deepika Padukone stunned one and all with her royal look from Padmavati, the makers of the Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s film have released the first look of Shahid Kapoor. Shahid plays Deepika’s onscreen husband, MahaRawal Ratan Singh in Padmavati.

Shahid flaunts a heavily bearded look in the poster with jewelry adding to his royal and intense look. What one can’t miss is the prominent scar and the look says this king is in the midst of a battle. He may look bloodied but he is definitely unbowed. Sharing the posters, Deepika, Ranveer and Shahid wrote, “saahas, samarthya aur samman ka pratrek”.

Last Monday, Deepika’s posters of Padmavati were released. She wore a red royal dress and heavy Rajasthani jewelry. It is hard to miss Deepika’s unibrow, something that soon led to much Twitter discussion.

Deepika essays the titular role of Rani Padmavati while Shahid plays her husband, Raja Rawal Ratan Singh in the film. Ranveer plays Alauddin Khilji in the ambitious period drama.

Padmavati is jointly produced by Bhansali Productions and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.

Deepika and Ranveer have earlier worked together with Bhansali in Bajirao Mastani (2015).

The film is slated to hit theatres on December 1.
