Shahid Kapoor To Go Back To His 20's For Batti Gul Meter Chalu

Shahid Kapoor is currently riding with the success of his recently released film Padmaavat. After founding itself in the midst of controversies, the movie managed to set the cash registers ringing at the box office. The film also starred Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh .

And now the actor will start prepping up for his next movie Batti Gul Meter Chalu. Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film will see Shahid playing the role of a lawyer. As per reports, the Rangoon actor will be seen in his 20’s in the film. The makers will change the 36-year-old’s character in a way to make him look in his 20’s. Since he will play a local boy from Uttarakhand, therefore, he will be seen in a lot of bright sweaters and jackets.

Actress Shraddha Kapoor will play Shahid’s romantic interest in the movie. In the first half, she will be seen as a bubbly and a notorious girl, in the second half she will undergo a transformation. The film will start rolling from February 9, 2018 in Uttarakhand and will be wrapped by April. It will be shot across Haridwar, Rishikesh, Tehri, Mussoorie and Nainital.

Yami Gautam plays the second female lead. She too will be seen as a lawyer in the flick.
