Shahid stamps on the wedding news, acknowledges to get married by year end

So it wasn’t just a floating rumour after all! The big Shahid Kapoor wedding news that came as a bombshell to all his fans and viewers have been duly acknowledged by the actor. Though he elucidated that he isn’t engaged, the talks in the media was still given an official stamp.

At an award event in Mumbai last night, the Haider actor appeared to be endearingly hesitant to accept the news but surprisingly came on record to state that marriage was on the cards by the end of this year. On being asked by the media to respond to his engagement news, the actor said, "No, I am not engaged but what you are reading is kind of true as marriage is on the cards at the end of the year." A reluctant Shahid didn’t get into the details and hoped for the media to respect his privacy. "I'll refrain from getting into details. I hope you respect that. I'm here today and I thought it was important for me to acknowledge it in front of the media. Other than that I'm just a normal guy, she's just a normal girl and we should treat it like that. I'm very happy," he added.
