Shraddha Kapoor To Commence Training In Badminton For Saina Nehwal's Biopic

While many Bollywood fans are excited to see Shraddha Kapoor playing the ace badminton player Saina Nehwal on screens, some are disappointed as they feel Deepika Padukone would have done more justice to the role. But, Shraddha doesn’t want to leave any stone unturned to give her best and amaze her fans with her badminton shots. And it is for this reason that the Baaghi actress is gearing up to start her training in badminton.

A source close to the development was quoted by a tabloid as saying, “Shraddha will begin training in badminton under the guidance of a senior coach from Prakash Padukone's academy. She will be training at a world-class badminton facility in suburban Mumbai and will practice daily till it's time to kick off the shoot, which is in a few months”. Shraddha has earlier said that “it is a very special film offer” to her.

The biopic will be helmed by director Amole Gupte. Talking about his research work, the filmmaker said, “Besides meeting Saina's close associates, I gathered videos of her to understand her personality. I've also been to the National Sports Club of India (NSCI) to watch her play. Her killer instinct is inspiring, she is the tigress beti of India who has made us proud”.
