Sushant Singh Rajput Starrer M.S. Dhoni's Biopic Gets New Release Date

After Emraan Hashmi’s ‘Azhar’, the most eagerly awaited Hindi biographical sports drama is undoubtedly ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’. Well, Bollywood fans might have to wait longer than before as the makers of the Sushant Singh Rajput starrer has decided to push the release date to September 30. Based on the life of the current captain of the Indian national cricket team, Mahendra Singh Dhoni, the flick was earlier slated to be released on September 2.

The movie is jointly produced by Arun Pandey and Fox Star Studios. Vijay Singh, CEO of the movie production and distribution company, stated, “It was a unanimous decision to release the film on September 30. This would give the team some more time to present the film to the audiences in the best way. We in no way wanted to compromise on the visual experience that Neeraj Pandey is set to create with this movie”.

Arun also believes that delaying the release date by three weeks will only help the post production team to further augment the value proposition of the film. “This is one of the most-awaited films of the year and I am sure fans will understand that the marginal delay will only help enhance the visual experience of the end product”, stated the chairman of Rhiti Group-owned Inspired Entertainment.

Directed by Neeraj Pandey, the flick also stars John Abraham, Kiara Advani, Herry Tangri, Anupam Kher and Bhoomika Chawla in supporting roles.
