Swara Bhaskar Wishes To Write Novel
Updated : May 28, 2016 09:25 AM IST Actress Swara Bhaskar gained vast recognition for her role in the romantic comedy, Tanu Weds Manu (2011). Since then, the 28-year-old star has been garnering lots of appreciation for her stellar performances. The Raanjhanaa heroine, who received her bachelor’s degree in English literature from the University of Delhi, also turned into a writer with her script, Split Ends, which won the Asia Society India Centre New Voices Fellowship for Screenwriters 2015-2016.
The versatile actress received scholarship worth 2 lakhs for her compelling story. Swara also completed a workshop that was organised as part of the fellowship. Talking about her fondness for writing, the talented star disclosed, “One day, I want to write a novel. But I don't think I am capable of doing that just now”.
Currently, the actress is busy developing Split Ends and two other new scripts. Revealing about the same, Swara added, “One of those two new scripts is a comedy, about two Delhi girls and a trip that's gone out of control”. According to sources, many renowned publishing houses have been approaching the Prem Ratan Dhan Payo star with offers to write books.
The actress is also well acquainted with Hindi language.
