Sidharth Malhotra on dating rumours with Alia - There’s nothing to confirm or deny

Having been put under a constant hammer of speculation and query, Sidharth Malhortra has taken the route of playing it safe on being questioned about Alia. All that he has to say for his equation with the Highway actress is that ‘she is an important part of his professional life’.  In an interview to HT, Sidharth revealed if he is really in a mood to get into a relationship.

On being quipped about dating rumours with Alia, Sidharth responded by not accepting it. The actor didn’t credit the stories running behind them and stated that a comforting chemistry with someone else in future would make the media change target. “We are easily accessible and people see us hanging out together, so they make up stories. She is an important part of my professional life. Alia, Varun (Dhawan) and I have always been close. If after a few months, I get clicked with another girl, the media will create another story. So there’s nothing to confirm or deny,” he said.

Answering on his take on relationships and if he is open to get into one, Sidharth said, “Of course I am, but only when I meet the right person. However, I would like to prioritise work. I need to prove to people that I am capable of doing good work. It (getting into a relationship) is very tough because there’s so much lined up on the work front.” The actor will now be seen alongside Akshay Kumar in Brothers, which is a remake of the Hollywood hit Warrior.
