This Actor Advised Anil Kapoor To Never Take A Break From Films

Though he is 60, but Anil Kapoor still looks young with a great physique. In his career spanning 38 years, the actor has acted in numerous films with some of them being super hit. Although some actors of his age may have taken a break from Bollywood or are not in the limelight as much as he is, but, Anil Kapoor never took a break from films.

And do you which actor advised him to do so? Well, he is none other than megastar Amitabh Bachchan. On the TV show ‘Aap Ki Adalat’, Anil said, “I always look up to Dilip Kumar, Amitabh Bachchan, Naseeruddin Shah and Kamal Hassan, who are great actors.”

He added, “Amit ji took a five-year break after doing ‘Khuda Gawaah’. He had gone to New York to live a normal life. I had gone there while shooting for ‘Meherbaan’. I met and told him, I was tired after working for 25 years in films, and wanted a break.” He further said, “Amit ji told me, ‘Never commit such a mistake in life. Never take a break (from films).’ I went back and immediately signed two new films. I have never taken a break in my 38-year-long career.”

When asked about his greatest moment, Anil said it was undoubtedly receiving coveted Oscar on stage for ‘Slumdog Millionaire’. He feels very fortunate to receive the most prestigious award which many stars yearn for. He also feels great for receiving National Award for ‘Pukaar’.  Anil was recently seen in ‘Mubarakan’ which released this Friday.
